We at Queens Lutheran School would like to thank everyone for their seemingly endless and continuous generosity. To every parent and guardian, individual, volunteer, business and institution you have our deepest gratitude and blessings. With your help Queens Lutheran School is truly "The Academy in Astoria". As always, more needs to be done to continue our tradition of academic excellence. Beyond financial donations so many have freely given their time, skills, services, advice, materials and supplies and we thank you.

•Referral Rewards: To all graduates of Queens Lutheran School, to all parents and guardians of currently enrolled students, we want to make you aware and remind you of our Referral Reward program. For every new student you refer to Queens Lutheran School that enrolls and remains a student for one year we are offering $400.00. This is not limited to referrals that begin enrollment in September. If you refer a student transferring from another school and that student remains enrolled until the end of the school year a Reward is offered based on the term on which that student enrolled. Parent and Guardians may apply this reward towards the tuition for their child for the following year if they so desire. These Rewards are issued in May, at the end of the school year.

•Thank you!: To all the businesses and institutions that have shown support for Queens Lutheran School we, in turn, show our support of you. On the Queens Lutheran School website we have a Thank you! section. In this section we acknowledge your generosity and provide your business card and contact information. You are welcome to link to our website in return.

As with all schools there is always a need for more. You may ask "what can I do?" or "what can I offer?" The answer is surprisingly simple. Anything that allows us to continue the tradition of academic excellence will be considered. It is not always the grand gestures that matter. There is always a need for schools supplies and equipment for the children. From something as simple as crayons, pencils and paper, books for our library, to computer hardware and software, we will consider all offerings. Volunteers are often needed to help in the office and in the school. If you have a skill to share with the children or would like to help us with our many projects to improve the school building and grounds please feel free to contact us.

Beyond our various fund raisers, donations are, of course, always welcome. Many banks and credit cards have a school rewards program where Queens Lutheran School is awarded. General Mills has the Box Tops For Education program. RecycleFund has the RecycleFund Cartridge Recycling program. Queens Lutheran School has a Scholarship Fund and Thrivent has the GivingPlus matching donation program. Details of these programs can be found on our website in the Fund Raising section.

Queens Lutheran School holds many events for the students throughout the school year. Our Calendar of events is on our website and if you would like to volunteer or donate to these events we'd like to hear from you.
